Corrections & Updates Policy
Technology evolves continuously. When operating systems release new builds or deprecate command flags, we promptly update our guides with full public transparency.
How We Handle Corrections
Unlike publications that silently alter historical text without notification, Digital Help Guide maintains a clear standard for correcting technical errors:
- Substantive Corrections: If an instruction, terminal command, or registry path was inaccurate or rendered dangerous by a subsequent operating system update, we update the article immediately and append a public Correction Notice detailing what was altered and why.
- Routine Version Updates: When software interfaces change cosmetically (such as a redesigned Settings menu in Windows 11 or iOS), we refresh the screenshots and instructions, updating the
updatedAtdate header. - Typographical Edits: Minor spelling or grammatical edits that do not alter technical meaning are corrected directly without formal change notices.
How to Submit a Technical Correction
If you discover an error, outdated step, or broken command on any of our guides, please report it to our editorial desk.
Please include in your message:
- The full URL of the guide.
- The specific section, heading, or command syntax in question.
- Your operating system version and build number (e.g., Windows 11 Build 26100, iOS 18.2).
- Authoritative reference or documentation link confirming the changed behavior.
